The restoration project of Trulli Orazio was born from the meeting of heritage preservation and energy innovation. The intervention enhanced the historical identity and original materials, combining them with modern solutions capable of ensuring residential comfort and high efficiency.
The use of thermal plasters, a ventilated crawl space, and high-performance window frames made it possible to respect the original building typology while improving the envelope’s performance. The compact building systems, integrated with heat exchange and geothermal pre-tempering, provide sustainable ventilation, heating, and cooling.
Thanks to these design choices, the building achieved CasaClima R certification, reaching Class B in terms of energy efficiency and becoming a virtuous example of the refurbishment of historic building heritage.
